Michele Lau, MBA

Michele is currently an Executive Financial Coach for Concept One Financial Group of Companies. She started her career in Commercial Banking for two large Canadian financial institutions where she managed portfolios of up to $250 million. At the peak of her career, she was ranked National top 5% for a lending role in a financial institution over a 3 year period. She has a diverse career journey, having worked in commercial/corporate banking, risk management, lending and investments. During her entire career she had booked and managed over $1 billion of loans. Over the last few years, she and her team have worked with lending capital well over $500 million in various projects.  

Michele holds a BComm from the University of British Columbia and received her MBA in Global Asset & Wealth Management at Simon Fraser University. She also completed her Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Course. She enjoys mentoring on a voluntary basis for secondary schools and some university programs.  

During her spare time, Michele enjoys bringing together professionals and businesses into meaningful, educational forums to lead on more interactions for future development thus she created this Western Canada Private Finance and Real Estate Forum with her circle of influence. She also enjoys assisting many fundraising projects in the city. This year, she was involved in raising private funds for BC Cancer, Camp Choice and Canuck Place.
